BADDI & BAROTIWALA:
Baddi is an industrial town and a nagar panchayat in the Southwestern Solan District of Himachal Pradesh, a hill state of northern India. The town lies on the border of Himachal Pradesh and Haryana states in the Shivalik Hills, around 35 kilometres west of Solan. Chandigarh, a union territory and the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, is around 40 kilometres west of Baddi.
Baddi is a leading industrial centre of Himachal Pradesh, being part of an industrial corridor stretching from Barotiwala to Nalagarh along the western border of Solan district.
Many Indian companies are now seeking to relocate operations to Baddi because of tax concessions being offered by the Central and State governments.
Companies such as Colgate Palmolive, Cadilla Healthcare, Nectar Lifesciences,Torrent Pharmaceuticals etc. have recently set up large plants in Baddi.
Baddi is also fast emerging into one of the best educational centres in Himachal Pradesh. There is a dental college in the Bhud area. Many new schools such as Vivek International Public School have opened. This school has brought a revolution in Baddi. It is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. It is working under the guidance of Mr. K.S. Arya, former DAV College Principal.
NALAGARH:
Nalagarh is a city and a municipal committee in Solan district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It was the seat of the eponymous princely state during the British Raj, and known in medieval period as the state of Hindur. It was founded by the Chandella Rajputs in 1100AD.At present Nalagarh is an emerging Town for Industries as it hosts Production units for leather , steel , chemicals ,thread mills and breweries.Air Poluutions hence is quiet a concern here .Yet it belongs to Himchal Prdesh , the spoken Lingua-Franca is Punjabi.
Nalagarh is located at 31.05° N 76.72° E. It has an average elevation of 372 metres (1220 feet). Nalagarh is a Semi Hilly Area . While the summers are hot and dry Winters are Dry and wet .Summers temperature does reach 45 degrees celcius ,also it could be Humid , Which Make “Feel Temperature” at 50 degrees celcius .During rainy season strong winds are experienced . Yet Nalagarh Physically belongs to Himachal Pradesh but Look and feel of it is mostly like Punjab .It is a town Which is close to Pinjore in Haryana , to Ropar in Punjab .
First thing you will notice about Nalagarh is the “Roads of Nalagarh”. Nalagarh is quiet a industrial developing town , However the Roads of Nalagarh is quiet a concern . Few Roads that emerges / joins from/to Nalagarh are Ropar road , Pinjore road , Swarghat road . Swarghat road had bad fortunes from the begining ,it’s a single line road which is marred by the Heavy Laden trucks.It may take a lot of jumps to reach your destination while trudging this road. Ropar road and Pinjore road have simlar stories .
